I noticed that once again it didn’t start with a happy chapter. I thought that was interesting so decided to look back at the first chapters of each book. As it turned out, the tones of the first chapters are a little more complicated than I initially thought.
The Princess Bride is a story of prospective war, adventure, friendship, and most of all true love. Westley and Buttercup have entered the hearts of anyone who knows that story. Prince Humperdinck on the other hand is viewed as cruel, conniving, and cowardly.
Now for my top two favorite tropes! If you’re just starting this series now, I insist you go back and read Part 1 and Part 2.

Often people will make fun of tropes for being predictable, or for being a symptom of lazy writing, while they actually serve a very important purpose.
I have so many friends that will not read rule books. They prefer to be taught. It’s no wonder when so many of these rule books are in desperate need of organization, clarification, and proofreading.
